Wayne Luthi
I’m Wayne Luthi, a proud native of San Francisco, where my earliest memories are shrouded in fog and filled with the salty scent of the sea. As a young Air Force serviceman stationed in England and Thailand during the late 1960s, the solitude of midnight shifts in control towers sparked my passion of poetry.
During my college years at San Francisco State, I found myself caring for a retired doctor with Alzheimer’s in exchange for a room overlooking the breathtaking vistas of San Francisco Bay. Following a successful career spanning 18 years in the corporate world, fate led me to a new path in landscape design and construction, where I’ve thrived for over 30 years.
With my beloved wife by my side for 50 years, I’ve explored the skies as a private pilot and delved into various artistic pursuits, including the intricate craft of photo collage. Around the turn of the millennium, my curiosity drew me to models of personal growth work, from the Hoffman Process to Family Constellation sessions, where I’ve not only found personal fulfillment but also facilitated transformative experiences for others, including inmates in jails and prisons.
Now, my focus is on sharing my poetry with the world, a culmination of a lifetime of diverse experiences and deep introspection. With a blend of confidence and humility, I continue to embrace life’s journey, eager to see where my words will lead me next.
